Thanks for visiting us again! Well, Christmas is coming and we're getting prepared for that. However, before Christmas comes, we have something special planned ... its called 'Reflections' - its a short film festival. Click here to read more.

Please do invite people to come to these events as they will be lots of fun and very informal... bring your friends, neighbours, etc.

Thanks for dropping by. Things are going well in all our churches ... we've been having potluck dinners, barbecues ... looks like everyone is really hungry this time of year! Well, the Christmas season is coming up, and I know for sure there will be a LOT of food in the next few weeks!

Come join our small groups during the week as we meet for a time of getting to know each other. You can call the church office if you are interested to join any home groups.

We're already planning Christmas events!
Here are the tentative dates :
Dec 6th - Film Festival - an evening of watching short films in a movie theatre atmosphere.
Dec 14th - Christmas party! A concert AS WELL AS a barbecue - on the same evening!
Dec 22nd - Kids Christmas party! For kids aged 3 -7 years - a party of games and fun.

Keep these dates in mind and invite your friends and neighbours for these events.

Church in the Gap!

Welcome to the Powerhouse Blog!

Thanks for taking the time to visit us. On the 21st of September, Powerhouse opened a new branch in Aminjikarai! (A picture Slideshow can be seen at the right hand side of this page) This is an exciting time for us as a church as new things are happening, and as we see God's hand working in amazing ways.

Please do keep praying for these developments. People are enjoying the new venue in Aminjikarai - which is a more secluded area - something different for Powerhouse! We normally meet in places that are in the city, in the mall - but God has opened this place up for a specific reason we believe and we're excited to see all that He has in store for us over there! The church in Padur that was also started last month seems to be going very well. Please pray for the branch that we are planning to open in Tambaram - that everything will go smoothly and according to God's plan alone!

So, we will soon be meeting in 5 venues on a Sunday!

Church in the Restaurant!

Hi all

Beginning this coming Sunday, the 11th of May, we will be meeting at Sparkys Diner for our Church worship services from 9am to 10.30am.

This is a stop gap / transition arrangement until we have raised enough money to rent a permanent venue.

This means that we will no longer meet at the Abirami Mall and henceforth all church services will be at Sparkys, until further notice.

We sincerely thank Thom Petty, Managing Director of Sparkys for his gracious offer to accomodate us at his restaurant until we have found a suitable place that meets our congregation's preferences in terms of geographic location and service timing as indicated in the survey.

So for now, we move from- Church in the Mall to Church in the Restaurant!

Hello All!

We had a great valentine's program last week - the pictures will be posted soon. The coloured lights danced around the room as songs were dedicated to special people in the room, and heart-shaped balloons bounced merrily everywhere throughout the evening. We had games: dress up games, and games between the unsuspecting couples present for the evening. We also had songs by Jessica and Steeve Vatz, Clive Case, Timmy Madhukar and Women Of Worth. And to finish the evening, we had burgers and brownies - it was a fun evening, and we look forward to next year already!
